Medway’s Unemployed
The Medway towns have this week seen the highest rise in those out of work. 213 more potential workers have joined the dole queue in the last month.
How hard is it to get a job in Medway at the moment? Here are some of your comments:
- I’m told by employers that I’m overqualified and too experienced.
- I can understand why degree students wouldn’t want to take a job in a shop stacking shelves but surely a job offer is better than nothing?
- No one is going to get back to work if it pays more to be on benefits. Where is the incentive for Medway’s jobless?

Heavy Rain in Kent
Batten down the hatches – here comes the rain again – the Met Office a predicting heavy, thundery rain for Kent and the South East of England with the possibility of flash flooding similar to the rainfall that hit Bournemouth on Thurdsday of this week.
What jumps when it walks and sits when it stands?
