Pocket Money Rise
Pocket money has risen for the first time in 7 years. It’s estimated that we’re now giving out £6.25 to each child in the UK.
Much more than when I was a kid!
Most Googled 2011
Amy Winehouse is the most Googled subject of the summer. We were also interested in Ryan Giggs of Manchester United and the Beckham’s newest family member Harper Beckham.
The Apprentice was the most Googled TV show and the movie we’ve been most interested in is The Inbetweeners.
The best of the rest include Wimbledon, Euromillions, Harry Potter and, of course, a British favourite – the weather!
English Apples
We’ve been lucky enough to have early treats all through 2011. Strawberries in March, roses in April and now English Apples in July. That’s the earliest we’ve had English apples – due to a very warm spring – in 30 years!
