Medway Heat Wave

After temperatures peaked at just over 30 Celsius yesterday in Medway we’re now braced for torrential isolated downpours.

London in the heat

The Environment Agency and Met Office both say to expect around 40mm of rain in a few hours. The top times to keep your umbrella to hand today, according to my sources, are brunch time (10am onwards) and during the afternoon/evening commute (4pm-7pm).

Even hail stones may fall in an abrupt change from the Medway heat wave!

Medway’s Tracy Crouch, MP for Chatham and Aylesford, has been voted the sexiest female Kent MP according to the website. Charlie Elphicke, MP for Dover, has been voted Kent’s sexiest MP!

UK Heat Wave

We’re looking at a heat wave this weekend. A great time to visit the coast, have a BBQ or take part in the Bluewater 10k.

Stories featured this morning included our bumper crop of strawberries for 2011 and may so much sun mean the disappearance of the British lawn as we know it? Have a great weekend!
