Here’s a snapshot of the Isle of Wight weather on the afternoon before Walk the Wight 2012 for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. Let’s hope it stays this way into tomorrow as I and many others will be scrambling up this hill from 6 o’clock Sunday morning. Good luck to all taking part in Walk the Wight 2012. Listen to the official coverage on Isle of Wight Radio. See you there!

It’s been just over a month since my wife, 5 month old and I made the move to the Isle of Wight and in that short time I can say that we absolutely love the island. The people have been welcoming, the scenery amazing and the pace of life is extremely chilled out.
Here are three things I love about our new island home:
1. The beach is always close by (and walkable from our new home).
2. There are vineyards and a brewery close by that make some brilliant local wines and beers.
3. The only traffic jam is when you’re stuck behind a tractor.
Here are a few photos I’ve taken of our first month on the island. More to come in the future!
