Jeremy Clarkson on Sat Navs
The famous sat nav critic Jeremy Clarkson is set to become a new voice on TomTom sat nav devices. The company have also signed up his Top Gear co-stars Richard Hammond and James May.
Who would you like to hear on a sat nav? I’d like to have Oz Clarke as my guide especially as he’d hopefully find all the good pubs!
Back to School
Most kids are back to school today and the rest go back tomorrow. Some Medway schools on the show this morning included:
- St. Michael’s in Chatham
- Burnt Oak Primary in Gillingham
- Hoo Infants, Juniors and Seniors
- St Mary’s RCP School in Gillingham
- Chatham Grammar for Boys
The MPs also return to work for us on this day. Parliament is back after the summer break.
Punch The Clock Day
It’s Punch the Clock Day today so how do you wake up? To the sound of a rough buzzing alarm clock (that you want to punch) or is there a more relaxed way to get going each day?
- James mentioned that he wakes up to William Tell on his mobile phone each day.
- Sean has a cat to wake him at 5am and then another alarm later in the morning.
- Charlotte has a noisy and loud alarm on her mobile and she doesn’t know how to change it so every day it’s a loud awakening!
I love the sound of birdsong and think it’s one of the most pleasant aspects of waking up at 4am to do breakfast radio.
National Television Awards
The National Television Awards went ahead last night with the cast of Eastenders beating their rivals in soap to win an award. Ant and Dec won (another!) National Television Award along with the X Factor and Jeremy Clarkson and the team from Top Gear. The Special Recognition award went to Bruce Forsyth… so when will Brucie get a knighthood then?
